Published on October 13, 2019, a section of Jubilee leaders has called for the disqualification of Imran Okoth, the ODM Party candidate in the Kibra by-election, over alleged electoral malpractice.

Lang'ata MP Nixon Korir and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa led the charge, accusing ODM Party supporters of engaging in violence during the campaign.

The incident occurred on Saturday when McDonald Mariga's campaign convoy was pelted with stones, but the Jubilee candidate escaped unhurt.

Speaking at PCEA Emmanuel Church in Makina on Sunday, the Jubilee MPs condemned the attack, accusing their ODM counterparts of inciting youth.

According to Korir, they plan to petition the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to disqualify the ODM candidate.

During the church service, rowdy youth hurled stones, shattering windows, with Korir saying, 'It is shameful the youths who attacked Mr Mariga's convoy yesterday have followed us here and destroyed window panes.'
