On October 13, 2019, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko was seen celebrating in style at the Cavalli Club in Dubai, where he was spotted partying hard.
According to Sonko, he was at the club to celebrate Eliud Kipchoge's historic achievement of breaking the sub two-hour marathon barrier.
"At Eliud Kipchoge's victory party. Na wale wakikosa news kama NTV jana ati mimi ni wamadrama," Sonko said on Instagram, addressing critics who questioned his presence at the club.
"I'm asking wapi Katiba ilisema Governor wasijivinjari? Kwani nilikua nadance naked? Wasiniletee banaa. Wale wamasuti wavae hata usiku. Mayouths from 15yrs to 18yrs musiskize hio mafitina, God willing you will be voters by 2022. Tujienjoy when still alive but kuna limits remember to concentrate on what builds you, and may God help us all succeed," he added.
The Cavalli Club is known for its luxurious restaurants and lounges, attracting international talent and VIP guests.
