Kenyan Governor Mike Sonko was spotted celebrating in France after Eliud Kipchoge's historic achievement of running 42 kilometers in under two hours.

On October 12, 2019, Kipchoge made history by becoming the first human to run 42 kilometers in under two hours.

His achievement sparked widespread celebrations in Kenya and beyond, with many people taking to social media to congratulate him.

Among those who celebrated Kipchoge's achievement was Governor Sonko, who was spotted partying in a popular club in France.

According to a video posted on Sonko's Facebook page, he said that governors should also celebrate when their people achieve great things.

"I'm in the party of Eliud Kipchoge. Those who say I'm a corrupt governor should show where the constitution says governors should not celebrate when their people achieve great things," Sonko said.

In the video, Sonko was seen being serenaded by female dancers at the club, with the words "Welcome Mike Sonko" written on the wall.
