Kenya's Harambee Stars are gearing up for an international friendly against Mozambique at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday, October 13, with captain Victor Wanyama leading the charge.

Wanyama, who missed the team's last tie against Uganda, has expressed optimism that the team will shine in the upcoming match.

"The new players did great and I hope they will pick from where they left as we take on Mozambique," Wanyama said in an interview.

"I'm happy to be back in the team and I look forward to working with my fellow teammates since a win is what we are all going for," he added.

The match is expected to be a crucial preparation for both teams ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

Kenya is scheduled to face Egypt in their group clash opener away in Cairo on Monday, November 11, while Mozambique will entertain Rwanda in Maputo three days later.
