I'll Not Be Intimidated by Envious Kin to Close School ¶
Published on October 13, 2019
As the Executive Chairman of the FioDrelina CBC Pedagogical Academy, Mwisho wa Lami Campus, I have been working tirelessly to establish a high-end, state-of-the-art institution to serve the sons and daughters of Mwisho wa Lami. Despite initial skepticism from enemies of development, the school has filled up even before construction was completed, with three full classes and plans underway to construct a fourth one.
The school boasts an impressive team of teachers, including Mrs. Fiolina Dre, the director, and Miriam, a former teacher at Busy Bee Academy. Rumona, a former student and my brother Ford's wife, has also joined the teaching staff, accepting a monthly salary of Sh2,500.
However, our progress has been hindered by family members who claim the land on which the school is built belongs to them. Rasto, a local shopkeeper, has been a vocal opponent, insisting that his grandson be allowed to attend the school without paying fees. My father, who has been spending time at Rasto's posho mill, has also become involved, asking me to allow Rasto's grandson to learn and promising to send the money when he gets it.
Despite these challenges, I remain committed to my vision of establishing a world-class institution that will advance and impart knowledge and education to the sons and daughters of Mwisho wa Lami. I will not be intimidated by envious kin and will continue to work towards making this vision a reality.
