On October 12, 2019, Eliud Kipchoge made history by becoming the first person to run a marathon in under 2 hours, a feat that solidified his position as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) in the world of sports.

According to a report in the Washington Post, achieving GOAT status requires setting multiple world records or winning several global championships.

However, Kipchoge's achievement in Vienna, Austria, was met with widespread celebration from fans across the globe, with many hailing him as the GOAT.

As reported by USA Today, the National Basketball Association is often considered the home of GOATs, with basketball legends like Michael Jordan and LeBron James earning the title.

Other sports personalities who have been dubbed GOATs include Roger Federer (tennis), Usain Bolt (athletics), Tom Brady, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo (football).

As Sir David John Brailsford, the INEOS Team Manager, noted, Kipchoge's achievement was a testament to his exceptional talent and dedication to his craft.
