The Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) has announced a massive recruitment drive for officers and specialists, with applications set to open on October 28.
The recruitment exercise, which will close on November 7, aims to fill various positions across the military, including cadets, general duty recruits, constables, medical officers, pharmacists, nursing officers, and dentists.
According to the KDF advertisement, applicants must meet specific requirements, including age, height, and education qualifications. For example, general service officer (GSO) cadets must have a minimum mean grade of B (Plain) in KCSE with at least C+ (Plus) in English, Mathematics, and one Science subject.
Other vacancies include specialist officers, who must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university/institution, and servicemen/women (General Duty) recruits, who must have a minimum mean grade of D (plain) in KCSE.
The KDF has emphasized that the recruitment process is absolutely free and that no one can influence the outcome. Applicants are advised to report any suspicious activities to the nearest Police Station or a Military Camp.
