On Saturday, October 12, 2019, defending champions South Africa successfully retained the All Africa Team Golf Championship title at the Mont Choicy Le Golf course in Mauritius.
South Africa's Jayden Schaper led the team to victory, carding an impressive eight under par 64 in the final round. The team's combined score of 205 in the fourth round secured their title, with a total of 27 under par 837 for the tournament.
The hosts, Mauritius, posted a combined score of 215 in the fourth round, moving them from third to second place. Morocco dropped to third place with a score of 891 after a disappointing 230 in the third round.
Kenya's team, led by captain Samuel Njoroge, finished seventh with a score of 916. Njoroge was the only Kenyan to perform well in the final round, firing a level par 72. Mutahi Kibugu and Zubair Khan carded six over par 78 each, contributing to the team's overall score.
The individual category also saw South Africa's dominance, with Jayden Schaper leading the way on 13 under par 275. Kayle de Beer and Martin Vorster tied for second place on six under par 282.
