On October 12, 2019, Eliud Kipchoge, the 34-year-old reigning Olympic champion, made history by becoming the first human to run a marathon in under two hours.

At the Berlin marathon in September 2019, Kipchoge set an official world record of 2:01.39, shattering the two-hour barrier and proving many doubters wrong.

His achievement was a culmination of years of hard work and determination, having previously attempted to break the two-hour barrier in Monza in May 2017, where he missed out by 26 seconds.

With his remarkable feat, Kipchoge has inspired a nation and proved that 'no human is limited.'

Kenya is proud of its champion, and the news has sparked celebrations across the country, including a song release by Kanji Mbugua, titled 'Eliud Kipchoge.'
