On October 12, 2019, Kenyan athlete Eliud Kipchoge made history by becoming the first human to run a marathon in under two hours, crossing the finish line in 1:59:40.

Kenyan artistes have been quick to celebrate this achievement, releasing songs that pay tribute to Kipchoge's remarkable feat.

One such song is 'EliudKIpchoge (Ineos159)' by Kanji Mbugua, a heartwarming tribute to the legend.

Another popular song is 'Marathon runner' by Nyashinski, released in March this year and currently holding over 1.5 million views on YouTube.
