On October 12, 2019, Eliud Kipchoge made history by becoming the first person to run 42 km under two hours.

He achieved this feat under the theme 'no human is limited' and entered the Guinness Book of Records in the process.

Kenyan marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge was flanked by 41 pacesetters during the INEOS 1:59 challenge.

Some Kenyans asked the government to gazette a day in honour of Kipchoge's achievement.
