Eliud Kipchoge, the Olympic champion, made history in Vienna, Austria on October 12, 2019, by becoming the first person in the world to run a marathon under 2 hours.

He achieved this feat during the INEOS 1:59 Challenge, a specially designed event that allowed him to attempt the record-breaking run.

According to Kipchoge, he felt better than he did two years ago when he attempted the same feat in Monza, Italy.

He completed the marathon in an impressive time of 1:59:40, shattering the previous record and cementing his place in history.

Two years ago, Kipchoge had attempted the same feat in Monza, Italy, but unfortunately, he was unable to complete it.
