October 12, 2019, marked another day of false hope for C'zar's family as rumors spread that the missing musician had been found in Australia.
A lady named Joyce Lorna claimed to have information about C'zar's whereabouts, but her claims were quickly debunked by the musician's father, Makasi.
Speaking to Kiss 100, Makasi expressed his hurt and frustration at the constant rumors surrounding his son's disappearance.
“WHERE WAS SHE? I DON’T UNDERSTAND. IF SHE WAS HIS COUSIN, SHE WOULD HAVE INFORMED ME, THE FATHER, FIRST,” HE SAID.
Makasi revealed that he has been searching for his son for years, with no leads or information to help him locate C'zar.
“So far, I haven’t been given any information that will lead me to my son. The first four years, I was being told he is in Eastleigh and Pangani, I looked for him without a trace. If I get anyone who will help me look for him, I will appreciate,” he said.
Despite the rumors and false hopes, Makasi remains hopeful that his son will return one day.
“IF HE COMES BACK, IT WILL BE A HAPPY MOMENT. I WILL LET HIM GO ON WITH THE LIFE HE WANTS. I WILL NOT INTERFERE WITH HIS LIFE BECAUSE HE MUST BE A GROWN-UP NOW. MINE IS TO PRAY FOR HIM THAT GOD WILL BRING HIM BACK SAFE,” HE SAID.
C'zar was reported missing in 2006, just before he sat for his KCSE exams, after giving the hit track 'emka ukatike.'
His father reminisces the happy moments they shared, including the time C'zar used to call him 'Daddy' and the amount of time they spent together as he grew his career.
“HE USED TO CALL ME ‘DADDY’. HE WAS SO CLOSE TO ME, HE WAS MY FRIEND AND WE WOULD SHARE LIFE TOGETHER. WE LOVED EACH OTHER AND WHEN HE WENT TO PERFORM, WE WENT TOGETHER. I REMEMBER A LOT,” MAKASI SAID.
