On Friday, the iconic Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi was transformed into a giant screen, showcasing a 3D projection of Eliud Kipchoge in support of his #INEOS159Challenge in Vienna, Austria, courtesy of Safaricom.
The projection, created by Jays Pyrotechnics, featured the new M-Pesa logo with the letters 'Eliud' and the numbers '1:59', denoting the challenge, alongside Kipchoge's picture.
As part of the event, the Sports and Tourism ministries have mounted big screens at KICC for the live broadcast of the challenge, which starts at 9:15am Kenyan time on Saturday.
Eliud Kipchoge, 34, will attempt to run under two hours in a 42km race dubbed Ineos 1:59 challenge in Vienna, Austria.
