Kenya is at a crossroads, and the nation's attention is focused on Eliud Kipchoge's historic attempt to break the marathon record in Vienna. As the world watches, Kenyans are left to ponder the state of their country and the leadership that has brought them to this point.

On one hand, Kipchoge's humility and dedication to his craft are qualities that many leaders in Kenya could learn from. His willingness to put himself forward as the face of this experiment, despite the risks and challenges involved, is a testament to his character and leadership.

However, the reality is that Kenya's leaders have failed to emulate Kipchoge's work ethic and commitment to excellence. Instead, they have been mired in corruption, ethnic politics, and a lack of accountability. The country's economy is in shambles, with widespread poverty, hunger, and disease.

As Kipchoge takes to the track, Kenyans are left to wonder why their leaders cannot do the same. Why can't they put the needs of the country above their own interests and work towards a common goal? Why can't they demonstrate the same level of humility and dedication to public service that Kipchoge has shown in his pursuit of athletic greatness?

The answer, unfortunately, is that Kenya's leaders are more interested in lining their own pockets and advancing their own careers than in serving the people. They are more concerned with maintaining power and control than with addressing the country's many problems.

As Kipchoge breaks the glass ceiling and achieves his goal, Kenyans will be left to reflect on the state of their country and the leadership that has failed them. They will be forced to confront the reality that their leaders are not interested in emulating Kipchoge's example, but rather in using his success to further their own interests.
