On October 11, 2019, dermatologist Dr. Pimple Popper shared a video on Instagram of her removing a pilar cyst from a patient's scalp.
The pilar cyst, which is a common type of cyst filled with excess keratin and shed skin tissue, was found on the patient's scalp and resembled an eyeball as it was being removed.
Dr. Pimple Popper used tweezers and a metal tool to carefully remove the cyst, which eventually came out in one whole piece.
She compared the cyst to an olive in her caption, saying "When there’s something strange growing in your head... who ya gonna call?????#drpimplepopper #slimer #cyst".
