Eliud Kipchoge: I'm Ready to Make History in INEOS 1:59 Challenge ¶
On the eve of the INEOS 1:59 Challenge in Vienna, Austria, Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge expressed confidence in his ability to break the two-hour marathon barrier, a feat he had attempted two years ago in Monza, Italy.
Speaking to the press before the event, Kipchoge stated that if he fails to achieve his goal, it would be the end of his running career.
However, the Kenyan athlete, known for his incredible abilities, emphasized that he is not taking anything for granted and is fully focused on the challenge ahead.
"Jumamosi itakuwa ni mimi kuweka historia. Kwa kuvunja kizuizi cha saa 2, naazimia kuthibitisha kuwa hamna binadamu mwenye upungufu," Kipchoge said.
He also acknowledged the support he has received from his team and the public, saying, "Napokea jumbe za salamu za heri njema kutoka Kenya na kutoka kote ulimwenguni nashukuru sana."
