Philadelphia sports fans are known for their exuberant displays of emotion, as seen after the Eagles' 2018 Super Bowl win. To provide a safe outlet for fans' anger and frustration, the Philadelphia Flyers have built a 'rage room' at the Wells Fargo Center.

Located behind a wall in the lounge area, the rage room is the first of its kind in a professional sports arena. Fans are given protective gear, hockey sticks, and baseball bats in the team's colors to use in the room. The space is equipped with TVs, dishware, guitars, and other objects for fans to break and destroy.

Some of the objects in the room display the logos of opposing teams when broken, fueling the frenzy for fans seeking catharsis. Fans can make reservations for the rage room in five-minute increments before, after, or during home games. Tickets cost $35 each or $60 for pairs.

"The concept is definitely one-of-a-kind and non-traditional," said Valerie Camillo, the Philadelphia Flyers' president of business operations. "We ran the concept by some of our fans who told us they thought this would be a fresh way to have some harmless fun."
