On Friday, October 11, 2019, a dramatic rescue operation took place in the Likoni Channel, where a mother and daughter were swept away by strong currents while driving their vehicle.
The vehicle, registration number KCB 289C, was lifted from the Indian Ocean a few minutes after 4pm, and the mother and daughter were recovered.
Thanks to the efforts of rescue teams, the family was reunited, bringing an end to a harrowing ordeal.
