Uhuru Praises Emergency Rescue Teams After Plane Accident at Wilson Airport

On October 11, 2019, a plane accident occurred at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, involving a Silverstone Air Fokker 50 aircraft.

Fortunately, no fatalities were reported, and the rescue team responded promptly to help disembark the passengers and flight crew.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has praised the emergency rescue teams for their swift response, wishing a quick recovery to the injured passengers.

According to State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena, President Kenyatta commended the teams for their prompt response, saying, "His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta commends emergency rescue teams stationed at Wilson Airport in Nairobi for their swift response following an accident involving a Silverstone Air operated Fokker 50 aircraft. The President at the same time wishes quick recovery to passengers injured on the ill-fated aircraft."

The incident is currently under investigation by civil aviation authorities, who aim to establish the cause of the mishap and prevent similar incidents in the future.
