On October 3, 2019, Blowplast Limited and its owner Sanjay Brahmbhatt filed a High Court suit against blogger Cyprian Nyakundi, citing alleged damage to their reputation.
According to the court documents, Sanjay Brahmbhatt claims that articles published on Cyprian Nyakundi's blog between September 2 and September 23, 2019, have caused him irreparable harm and damaged his reputation.
Sanjay Brahmbhatt and Blowplast Limited are seeking urgent action from the court, stating that unless the matter is heard and determined promptly, Cyprian Nyakundi will continue to publish articles that contain injurious falsehoods, targeting the company and its owner.
The plaintiffs claim that Cyprian Nyakundi's blog and linked social media accounts have a wide reach, and that his publications have caused economic loss to the company due to injured business reputation.
As reported by Mahakamani News a month prior, Blowplast Limited had already sent a demand letter to Cyprian Nyakundi, ordering him to stop publishing articles that had caused them harm.
