On October 11, 2019, a 56-seater plane operated by Silverstone Air experienced a terrifying incident at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, when it skidded off the runway.
According to eyewitnesses, the plane's right-wing dipped before the crash, but fortunately, several passengers sustained only minor injuries.
The plane was en route to Mombasa when the accident occurred.
A pilot, speaking to the Star, attributed the incident to a suspected engine failure, stating, 'This is a suspected engine failure. The plane has two engines which failed at 9am.'
