On Friday morning, a Silverstone Air Fokker 50 aircraft, registration 5y-IZO, crash landed at Wilson Airport while taking off at 9 am.
The plane was operating the Wilson-Mombasa-Lamu-Mombasa-Wilson route when the accident occurred.
Fortunately, all passengers and crew were safely disembarked, and those with minor injuries were attended to by emergency services.
Silverstone Air expressed gratitude to the emergency services at Wilson airport for their quick response and cooperation.
As the situation is assessed, Silverstone Air is working with relevant authorities to determine the cause of the accident.
