On October 11, 2019, a plane operated by Silverstone Air narrowly escaped disaster after skidding off the runway at Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
A passenger who had boarded the plane told the Nation that they were yet to hit the skies when the pilot realized 'some issues', without giving details.
Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of casualties, but most of the passengers suffered trauma after literally brushing with death.
As of now, Silverstone Air, Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), and managers of Wilson Airport have yet to issue a statement on the incident.
