On October 11, 2019, a Silverstone Air plane headed to Mombasa skidded off the runway at Wilson Airport as it attempted to take off.

The aircraft plunged into mud and a thicket, causing minor but significant damage to the plane. Fortunately, passengers were able to exit the plane safely.

According to eyewitnesses, the pilot noticed 'some issues' just before takeoff, but the exact cause of the accident remains unclear.

Passengers suffered minor bruises and injuries, with no reports of major injuries. This incident marks Silverstone Air's first accident.
