On October 11, 2019, a Silverstone aircraft crash-landed at Wilson Airport, Nairobi, after experiencing challenges during takeoff.

The 60-seater plane was headed for Lamu when it encountered difficulties, resulting in a crash landing.

Emergency response teams were quickly on the scene, and several passengers sustained minor injuries.

A passenger who was on board described the incident, saying, “The plane crashed shortly after takeoff. There are some who are injured.”

Adding to the account, the passenger stated, “Response by fire engines was quick but these aircraft have no easy access outside. Fuel spilt but God is great it didn’t burn.”
