Jeff Koinange, a celebrated journalist, has had a remarkable career spanning multiple continents. Born and raised in Kenya, Koinange's passion for journalism led him to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from New York University.

After completing his degree, Koinange furthered his education by earning an associate degree from Kingsborough Community College. His academic achievements paved the way for a successful career in journalism.

However, Koinange's time at CNN was cut short when he was unexpectedly fired via phone call. In a shocking turn of events, his boss informed him that the network could no longer sustain him due to 'too many rumors.'

As Koinange shared his story on Hot 96, he recalled the conversation: 'My boss called me and asked me to pull off the highway (I was driving at the time) and he said 'Listen man, there is too much crap- too many rumors and I don’t think we can sustain you any longer, we will need to let you go.'

Despite the setback, Koinange's career continued to flourish. He eventually joined Citizen TV, where he has become one of the most sought-after media personalities in the East African region.
