Yolanda Hadid, the 55-year-old former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, has been open about her struggles with Lyme disease since her diagnosis in 2015. In a recent interview with People, she revealed that she has finally achieved remission, saying, "I’m in remission."

Hadid, who has been living with the disease for seven years, credits a new frequency healing device for her improved symptoms. "I had a really bad year last year, but I found a new frequency healing device and it’s been amazing for me. It took away 90 percent of my symptoms," she explained. "It helped with my joint pain, the exhaustion, the brain fog, all the symptoms that come with Lyme disease."

According to the Centers for Disease Control, Lyme disease is a systemic infection caused by Borrelia burgdorferi and is transmitted to humans via a deer tick bite. If left untreated, the infection can wreak havoc on the nervous system, heart, and joints.

Hadid's journey with Lyme disease has not been easy, and she has faced significant challenges, including the loss of her ability to read, write, or even watch TV. However, she remains positive about her experience, saying, "[My journey] was so painful but the spiritual part of my soul was saying there is a higher purpose."

Hadid's announcement has brought hope to those living with Lyme disease, and she is determined to make a difference. "It sucks that it happened to me, but at the end of the day I put a face to the disease that nobody knew anything about. It’s very real. And lot of people are suffering. But God put me on this path to make a difference. That’s what keeps me going," she explained.
