As the Kansas City Chiefs continue their strong season, coach Andy Reid's 21st year as an NFL head coach is a testament to his enduring talent for scoring points and getting the best out of his players. However, one skill that Reid hasn't publicly showcased week after week is his impressive appetite.
According to former co-coach Steve Mariucci, Reid once finished a massive 40 oz steak in 19 minutes flat. This feat was achieved during a visit to the Prime Quarter in Green Bay, where Mariucci and Reid were challenged to eat the giant steak in under an hour. If they succeeded, they would receive a chef's hat and have their picture displayed on the wall.
As Mariucci recalled, 'We ate, man. One night we were at the Prime Quarter and we both order a giant 40-ounce steak. This thing is huge. The girl comes out and tells us if we eat this thing in under an hour you get your picture on the wall and a chef's hat and all that. Andy finished his in 19 minutes.'
Reid's impressive appetite is just one of the many facets of his personality that have been revealed over the years. As the Chiefs continue their push for the Super Bowl, it's clear that Reid's talent extends far beyond the football field.
