On October 10, 2019, Cameroon announced its squad for the upcoming FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Brazil, with Etienne Eto'o, son of former Cameroon legend Samuel Eto'o, included in the team.
Etienne, who captains the Mallorca U-17 side, expressed his eagerness to prove himself in the tournament and contribute to the team's success.
“Even if my father is a legend, I want to make my own name and help the team achieve their goals,” Etienne said.
