On October 10, 2019, DCI George Kinoti issued a stern warning to corrupt police officers in Kenya.
Speaking at a press conference, Kinoti stated that there would be no leniency for officers found guilty of corruption.
He commended the EACC for their swift action in arresting and prosecuting corrupt police officers.
"We appreciate the EACC for their efforts in combating corruption within the police force," Kinoti said.
He emphasized that the police service would not tolerate any form of corruption and that officers found guilty would face the full force of the law.
"We will not hesitate to take action against any officer found guilty of corruption," Kinoti warned.
He also urged the public to report any corrupt police officers to the authorities, promising that their identities would be protected.
"If you report a corrupt officer, your identity will be protected, and we will take action against them," Kinoti assured.
