On October 10, 2019, Teddi Mellencamp, a health and wellness coach and reality TV star, shared a poignant message on Instagram, accompanied by before-and-after photos of women who have undergone significant weight loss.

According to Mellencamp, who is the founder of life coaching company All In By Teddi, the photos were meant to challenge her followers to examine what they're hiding in their own lives. She pointed out that she was 'hiding' in the 'before' photo, and encouraged her followers to do the same.

Mellencamp has been open about her own weight-loss journey, which began about four years ago when she overhauled her diet and exercise plan. In an interview with Women's Health, she revealed that she gained 80 pounds in one year after moving to California and starting a stressful job. She yo-yo dieted for years, but continued to struggle with her weight after she became a mother.

Eventually, Mellencamp realized she needed to be accountable for what she was eating and doing, which led her to start documenting her health journey on Instagram. She has since put what she learned into her All In by Teddi accountability program, where she helps clients 'learn how to balance and live a healthy lifestyle' to reach their goal weight.
