Kenyan marathon world record holder Eliud Kipchoge is set to attempt to break the 2-hour marathon barrier at the INEOS: 1:59 challenge in Vienna on October 12, 2019.
Speaking about the challenge, Kipchoge expressed his excitement at being the first person to attempt to run 42 kilometers in under two hours.
He also expressed his optimism about winning the challenge, saying he feels like Neil Armstrong when he first stepped on the moon in 1969.
"Running in Berlin is breaking a world record, running in Vienna is writing history, it's feeling like the first human to walk on the moon," Kipchoge said.
