Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger is facing another injury setback after suffering a groin injury in a recent match.
The German defender had returned to action in Chelsea's 5-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last month, but his comeback was short-lived as he slipped while making a clearance and came off at half-time.
Chelsea's official Instagram handle posted a photo of Rudiger with the caption, 'Good to see you back out there, @ToniRudiger! Keep up the work!' However, it remains to be seen whether Lampard will give Rudiger some minutes in the U23s again or rush him back into first-team football.
Published on October 10, 2019, as Chelsea struggled to keep a clean sheet, the team's manager might need to reconsider Rudiger's return to action.
