On October 10, 2019, a truck driver from Kibwezi narrowly escaped death after he was caught red-handed cheating on a married woman in Machakos.
The woman, in her early 50s and mother of five, had been involved in an affair with the young truck driver, who was in his late 20s and married.
The husband, a night guard in his late 60s, discovered the infidelity after being tipped off by suspicious neighbors who had been monitoring the driver's frequent visits to the woman's home in Mlolongo.
Armed with this information, the husband sought the help of a traditional healer, Mwikali Kilonzo, who confirmed the allegations and provided a spell to trap the cheating couple.
Two days later, the husband returned home to find the couple stuck in his matrimonial bed, where he unleashed a merciless beating on the young driver.
The driver claimed he had been visiting the woman on her invitation, but this only angered the husband further, who also gave his wife a resounding beating.
They were eventually separated after neighbors intervened, but not before the driver had to part with a hefty fine to secure his freedom.
