On October 9, 2019, award-winning Tanzanian singer Lady Jaydee, formally known as Judith Wambura Mbibo, released a new song with Uganda's Ahmed Mohamed Kakoyi, alias Mad Ice, titled 'Nishike Mkono', which is a Swahili word that means 'hold my hands'.
The song is about sticking with the person that you love through thick and thin, urging lovers not to listen to people who want to destroy what they have because it's rare and that they should not change after being with each other for a long time.
Mad Ice's unique tenor and Lady Jaydee's melodious voice make this song a standout, with Lady Jaydee's powerful message in her words adding an extra layer of depth to the song.
However, the instrumentation and beat of the song were not as impressive, with some critics feeling that the producer did not put their best foot forward.
Listen to 'Nishike Mkono' below and tell us what you think.
