On October 9, 2019, a multi-agency team was searching for a missing woman and her daughter who drowned at the Likoni ferry channel in Kenya.

After 11 days of searching, the team has managed to locate the car that plunged into the Indian Ocean while aboard MV Harambee ferry.

According to Government Spokesman Cyrus Oguna, the team located an object that matches 90% the description of the Toyota ISIS car.

Experts speculate that the second occupant, a four-year-old girl, could still be inside the vehicle.

Underwater video obtained by KBC Channel 1 shows the body of one occupant floating inside the vehicle.

The search is expected to conclude once the vehicle is pulled out of the waters, closing the curtains on days of exhaustive cautious search.
