Ugandan musician and politician Bobi Wine has outsmarted the police by hailing a bodaboda to escape arrest.

On October 9, 2019, police in Uganda had set up a roadblock at his home in Kyaddondo East, Wakiso District, to prevent him from attending a concert at One Love Beach in Magere, Busabala.

However, instead of going to the concert, Bobi Wine decided to take a bodaboda to avoid being arrested.

"We advise the public not to waste their time going to Busaabala because it will not happen," said Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango.

This is the second time the police have tried to stop Bobi Wine from holding a concert, which he claims is a high-handed attempt to intimidate him.
