Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioner Roselyn Akombe has sparked speculation about her return to Kenya after sharing a cryptic message on social media.

On October 9, 2019, Dr Akombe posted a picture of the Kenya Airways logo with the caption: 'Ready.'

Dr Akombe resigned from the IEBC just days before the repeat presidential election on October 26, 2017, citing concerns about the electoral process and her personal safety.

She described the election as a 'sham' and accused the IEBC of being party to the country's political crisis.

Dr Akombe's latest post has attracted mixed reactions on social media, with some welcoming her potential return and others criticizing her for leaving the country when many people were counting on her.
