Published on October 9, 2019, a Kenyan man identified as Gerald Erebon has made a shocking claim that he is the biological son of an Italian Catholic priest who lived in Kenya over three decades ago.

Gerald Erebon, now 30, believes his father is Father Mario Lacchin, a Consolata missionary who was stationed at Archers Post parish in Samburu county.

According to Erebon, his mother, Sabina Losirkale, was 17 years old when she became pregnant with him, and she had been cooking for Father Lacchin at the time.

Erebon has repeatedly requested a paternity test, but Father Lacchin has refused, citing his superiors who want to extend the wait.

Despite the challenges, Erebon remains determined to meet Pope Francis and share his story, hoping to raise awareness about the reality of Catholic priests having children against the church's doctrine.

"I would like to speak with Pope Francis. I am the son of an Italian priest, a Consolata missionary. The Pope should have the need to know the reality of being the son of a Catholic priest," Erebon said in an interview.
