On October 9, 2019, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) issued a notice to the owners of 584 vehicles, instructing them to verify their ownership within 14 working days.

The notice, which was released on Wednesday, stated that the owners should present themselves at any NTSA motor vehicle inspection center with the required documents.

According to the authority, the owners of the listed cars had been issued with a notice on May 7 this year for verification but they failed to do so.

The vehicles include 409 civilian motor vehicles, 179 trailers, tractors, three wheelers, and heavy machinery cars.

NTSA ordered that no transaction be done with the vehicles until their ownership is verified.

Failure to present the vehicles for inspection by October 28, 2019, will result in deregistration.

The required documents for verification include the original and copy of the Registration certificate (Logbook), importation documents, National Identification card, and KRA PIN Certificate, as well as any other document to prove ownership.
