Kenya's Harambee Starlets have made a significant step towards the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, eliminating Ghana in the third round of the qualifiers.

Starlets' match-winner Gentrix Shikangwa expressed confidence in Kenya's chances, stating that the win gives them the much-needed confidence for their next assignment.

Published on October 9, 2019, Shikangwa said, 'It's a good feeling of course since it's Ghana. They are one of the best teams in the continent so the win is huge for us.'

Shikangwa further emphasized that the team's hard work and training played a crucial role in their victory, saying, 'I don't think there was anything extraordinary we did. The coach told us to train hard because of the opponent and we did just that.'

The team is now set to face Zambia in their next tie, who eliminated Botswana in the third round.
