These young acts have brought different genres to the table, with amazing chords and crazy composition skills.
Here are some of the notable new boy bands:
- Red Acapella, a two-member band from Nairobi, has been in the game for five years. They gained popularity with their hit song 'Tena Na Tena'.
- Halisi, a three-piece band, consists of songwriters who aim to reach the level of Sauti Sol. Their latest song is 'Avocado'.
- Jivu, a duet from Rongai, consists of Uncle K and Chege. They are known for their songs 'Form ni Gani' and 'Struggle'.
- Mankind, a group from Nairobi, has been signed by Sony Music. They are popular for their songs, including 'Heaven'.
- Cleff and Bandana, a four-piece band, started their musical journey in 2013. They began as Bandana and met Clef in a campus singing competition. They are known for their debut song 'Stop'.
- Yozowo Band, a group of four, consists of Twitch, Kahuti, Alex, and others. Their name originated from a WhatsApp group where they would greet each other as 'YO', 'ZO', and 'WO'.
