The Kenyan women's national team secured a 1-0 victory over Ghana in a highly contested match held at the Kasarani International Stadium.

Genitrix Shikangwa scored the winning penalty in the 99th minute, securing Kenya's spot in the next round of the tournament.

Starlets had earlier defeated Malawi 5-3 in their first match, and a win against Zambia in the final round would see them qualify for the Olympics.

Despite not receiving any government funding, Kenya's women's national team has made significant strides in the tournament, a testament to their determination and skill.
