Kenya's Harambee Starlets secured a crucial 1-0 win over Ghana's Black Starlets in the third round of the Olympic qualifiers at Kasarani Stadium on October 8, 2019.

Gentrix Shikangwa scored from the penalty spot in extra time after a Ghanaian defender handled a goal-bound effort on the line.

The win was a big relief to the hundreds of fans who turned up to watch the match, and it sets Kenya up for a potential fourth-round matchup against either Zambia or Botswana.

Starlets coach David Ouma said the result was a big motivation for the team, stating, 'We have to keep pushing and this gives us the possibility of going further.'

Meanwhile, South Africa's Percy Tau will report to the Bafana Bafana camp to have an injury assessed that forced him out of Club Brugge's 4-0 win over Gent in the Belgium league at the weekend.

Team doctor Thulani Ngwenya confirmed that Tau will link up with the squad on Tuesday morning, where he will be given the once-over by the team doctor.
