Comedian Rapcha, known to his fans as Rapcha the Sayantist, has spoken out about his journey to sobriety, crediting it with transforming his life for the better.

According to a post on Twitter, Rapcha, who hosts the reggae show 'Drop Zone' alongside Shix Kapienga on Hot96, had been struggling with alcoholism for many years.

He revealed that his drinking habits had become so bad that his children would sometimes have to wipe the vomit from his mouth because he was too inebriated to handle himself.

However, after 7 years of drinking, Rapcha decided to change his ways and focus on his health and career.

“My kids used to wipe vomit from my mouth… it was ugly, it was a bad life and I changed it… Stopped drinking for good and decided to focus on my body, food and my career … It’s the best decision I ever made,” Rapcha said.

He went on to thank the people who stood by him and supported him as he fought his way back to sobriety.

“I give thanks for life and everyone supporting me,” he wrote.

Published on October 9, 2019, Rapcha's journey to sobriety serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of seeking help and support when struggling with addiction.
