On October 8, 2019, the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) electoral board was inaugurated at the Goal Project in Kasarani, with chairman Edwin Wamukoya at the helm.

Wamukoya, who served in the previous board that conducted the 2016 elections, expressed confidence that the process would be smoother this time around due to the existence of a register of clubs.

"We had a lot of challenges in 2016 because we had to sort out the clubs register. This time we don’t have such issues and we expect it to be smooth sailing," he said.

The electoral board has 60 days to conduct elections, starting from the county to the national level. The process will involve verification of candidates, hearing of appeals, and publication of the final list of candidates.

County elections are scheduled for November 23, with the national polls on December 7.

FKF Chief Executive Officer Barry Otieno expressed faith in the board to do their work properly.
