On October 8, 2019, Peter Weber, the 28-year-old Bachelor star, was hospitalized in Costa Rica after a golfing accident left him with 22 stitches on his face.

According to Radar Online, Weber was golfing in Costa Rica, which would serve as the location for the upcoming Bachelor season, when the incident occurred.

‘He went to step on the cart but fell and split his face open on two cocktail glasses he was carrying,’ a source told Radar Online, noting that Weber needed extensive surgery on his face.

Several contestants from the show were still in Cleveland, Ohio, where the third rose ceremony took place, and were flying into Costa Rica the day Weber got injured.

‘Everyone is worried about production,’ the source said, adding that Weber was sent to a hospital two hours away to see a ‘surgeon that specialized in his injuries.’

As the new Bachelor, Weber had expressed his desire to find a partner who shared his thirst for adventure and valued family.
