Published on October 8, 2019, a Reddit thread sparked a conversation among bisexual individuals about the differences between sex with women and men.
According to the thread, many bisexual men tend to be the 'tops' (insertive partner) with women, whereas they are 'bottoms' (receptive partner) with men. This is partly due to the fact that pegging or anal play on a man by a woman is still considered kinky or taboo, whereas it's a normal aspect of sex between men.
One Reddit user, Willreid97, shared his experience, saying, 'I fuck girls and guys fuck me. Pretty much it tbh.' Another user noted that it's easier to hook up with guys, comparing it to getting dinner, where sometimes you want a nice intimate night out, and sometimes you just need to find a place that's still open.
Bi men also reported that guys are generally better at giving head than women, with one user stating, 'Gotta say in my experience guys are way better a blow jobs.' They also noted that men seem to be more enthusiastic about giving blowjobs, which may explain why they're better at it.
On the other hand, bi women tended to be more thorough in their responses, breaking down the sexual dynamics between each gender. One user, evangel_online, wrote, 'Women are less judgmental in my experience and both people cum in F/F. With women it's a 'i like this,' 'Do you like this?' 'how does that feel baby?' Thing and there's no 'am I taking too long to cum' guilt.'
Another user, Fang_Jolima, spoke specifically to the differences that come with strap-on sex, saying, 'Generally speaking, sex F/F almost always contains oral. While it is not a rule, it does happen more often, IME.' She also noted that strap-on sex is different because the giver cannot feel the cock, and as such, must rely on cues/body language to ensure their partner is being satisfied.
Ultimately, the thread highlighted that the differences between sex with women and men are not as significant as the similarities. One user, Bustersprinkles3, noted that it matters less on a person's gender and more on that person as an individual, saying, 'To be completely honest, I choose my romantic partners based on compatibility and spark. Some people just naturally have a spark, and it draws me to them.'
