On 10-12 December 2018, a shocking crime took place along Baricho Road, leaving a city businessman traumatized.
Benson Kyalo Kisavi, the suspect, was arrested almost 10 months later, on 8 October 2019, after the businessman sought treatment and reported the matter.
According to the court, Kisavi and his accomplices robbed Joseph Mugo of his title deed and motor vehicle log book at gunpoint, demanding Sh800,000 from him.
The accused and his accomplices then tortured Mugo, forcing him to drink his urine, and sodomised him before giving him unknown tablets.
After the ordeal, Kisavi and his accomplices drove Mugo to his house to fetch the title deed and log book, leaving him in a bad shape.
Before taking off, Kisavi checked into a bar and ordered drinks, leaving Mugo to suffer in silence.
The prosecution objected to Kisavi's release on bond, citing that he had been threatening the complainant's family.
As a result, Kisavi will be held in custody until 4 October 2019.
